Divvyus – Divide Up Group Tasks Easily
Builders of web applications always assume that their users want lots of bells and whistles. They assume that everyone will easily hand over their contact info and signup for a free, strings-attached beta of their product.
Divvyus has taken a completely different route with their task management software. They don’t collect email addresses, they don’t require an account to be setup. All they require is someone to setup the initial list and then email the link around to the others involved. The process couldn’t be simpler.
Once a list is created the owner assigns names to each task. When co-workers login they will see the full list and can mark off completed items at any point. The one downside is that the list owner will not get any email notifications for people marking off items. They also can’t confirm that the right person checked off the right item.
This simplified app will turn off a lot of power users but there is certainly a large audience out there looking for something simple and easy to share.
3 Reasons To Use Divvyus:
- You have co-workers who won’t use a more complicated task management app like Basecamp or UseStacks.
- You want a free task management solution.
- You have short term projects with personnel that won’t be the same from project to project.
3 Reasons You Wouldn’t Need Divvyus:
- You want to track tasks and personnel across multiple projects.
- You need your tasks and projects to be password-protected and not publicly accessible.
- You want the ability to assign dates to tasks and projects.
