Freedback Competes in Crowded Form-Builder Space
The builders of yet another form startup claim you can have a form up in eight minutes without any HTML coding. The claim seems valid but just goes to show the marketing tactics you need to take to gain traction in the populated form-creation space. Similar to Formsite and Wufoo, Freedback offers its users a simple way of creating form for your website, starting with a free model with ads.
The paid models start at $9 per month and go up to $39depending on the feature set and quantity of forms needed. Once you have an account, you simply use Freedback’s GUI form builder to setup each question. Freedback then allows you setup of notifications via email or even SMS whenever a response is given.
Freedback doesn’t have a particulary unique form builder or even an aggresive pricing model. In fact, both Formsite and Wufoo are marginally less expensive. But Freedback does offer a simpler signup and creation process for the simplest of forms, although we wouldn’t recommend it for detailed forms.
3 Reasons To Give Freedback a Chance:
- You need a simple form to ask 1-10 questions of site visitors and would love the periodic responses to hit your email.
- You would like to test drive a form builder without submitting your credit card information first.
- You find the interface for Formsite to be too cumbersome and want something simpler.
3 Reasons You Wouldn’t Need Freedback:
- You already have an account with Wufoo or Formsite. We wouldn’t recommend switching but if you don’t have an account you might as well setup a test on multiple accounts and see which interface best suits you.
- You need to put multiple-page forms on your site.
- You don’t have access to the code of your site to copy the Freedback code into.
