SalesForce was one of the first major web applications that showed people the value of having shared information live in the cloud. Unfortunately through the years SalesForce has become bloated with features and additional products, causing their prices to creep up, and virtually making it inaccessible for small- and medium-sized businesses.

A new competitor called TactileCRM has emerged to take over the market for small businesses. For $9 per month, per user they offer the ability to share contacts info, sales pipelines and opportunities. It also includes a conversation and contact log and email integration.

For those of you not familiar with CRM tools, Tactile CRM provides a web-based contact and sales management system to help you manage your sales pipeline, contacts, notes, emails and activities in one place. It is essentially one-stop software for those involved in sales. If you are more of the sole-proprieter type it still might make sense as they even have a free option for single users.

3 Reasons You Should Consider Tactile:

  • You currently pay hundreds per month for CRM tools like SalesForce and are looking for a cheaper alternative.
  • You currently track your sales leads and pipelines using Excel or another desktop-based solution, but would love to have access to it remotely.
  • You currently share contacts with your co-workers but would like to add a shared sales pipeline to better facilitate sales strategies.

3 Reasons You Wouldn’t Need Tactile:

  • The limited features of the $5 plan at SalesForce are enough for your business.
  • You are a sole proprietor and currently track all of your contacts through Google Docs or a similar web-based spreadsheet.
  • You are a Fortune 500-type company and need the extra tools and enterprise-level products that SalesForce provides.
